Hughes Quality Eyecare is pleased to be able to support our veterans by providing frame selection, sizing services, and adjustments for glasses. Once glasses are selected, the order is sent to the Veteran’s Administrator for fulfillment. The VA makes their own glasses at the VA owned and operated laboratory in Indianapolis, IN. Once your order is submitted, Hughes Quality Eyecare does not control any part of your order, has no visibility into status of your order, and cannot rush orders. Glasses can take 4-6 weeks to produce before they are shipped to your home residence. 

 

L & S Optical is an independent contractor supporting the VA in dispensing glasses. They do not make the glasses, nor do they have any control over the VA laboratory. However, they can access status and be your advocate in getting your glasses as soon as the VA can make them. If you have selected upgrades to your VA order, L & S Optical fulfills those orders through their own laboratory and can provide you status of your order. However, in many cases, such as adding a tint, the VA must first make your glasses than ship them to L & S optical for the application of the upgrade.
